AERO – Basic Emergency Communication Class

AERO – Association of Emergency Radio Organization would like to announce that it is holding its Basic Emergency communication class, AERO 1, on Saturday October 11th at the Bloomington Civic Plaza, 9920 Logan Ave S, Bloomington Minnesota starting at 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM.

Registration MUST be completed by Thursday October 9th registration is preferred because directions to the free class and frequencies that will be used in class for our practice emergency nets will be sent out. Also as a requirement for the class is FEMA incident command course IS-100.b. The free online course can be taken at http:// training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.aspx

We would also like to announce AERO 2, a NET Controller’s Class, is also being held on October 11th Bloomington Minnesota starting at 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Requirements for this class are the completion of AERO 1 and IS-100.b. Again registration is with Dan Peitso, N0PIY at N0PIY@arrl.net or phone 763-755-3262.

Registration MUST be completed by Thursday October 9th frequencies to be used for the class will be sent out just before the class is to start.

SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENT for former class members: You are also invited to come and practice you net skills again on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please register again with Dan Peitso, N0PIY@arrl.net . Please state you are a former class participant and would like to practice again.
