Radios in the Park: Thursday, July 26
Radios in the Park is held at Valley View Park in Oak Park Heights 5575 Ozark Avenue North in Oak Park Heights.
The park entrance is on Osgood Avenue just past the houses. Mapping programs and GPS units will take you to the address located in the residential area just west of the park. There is no vehicle access from that location, so you need to use the park entrance located on Osgood just south of the power transmission lines.
The July 26 session will feature an Antenna Shoot-out that will test the efficiency of various antennas such a multi-band center dipole, and end-fed wire, a homebrew Buddistick vertical and a Buddipole. Anyone have a magnetic loop to join the testing? Testing will be at low power using WSPR and relying on the WSPRnet for reception reports.
Radios in the Park is open to Amateur Radio Operators and anyone interested in Amateur Radio.
